Big Jim Loquat
Big Jim Loquat is one of the most famous loquat varieties developed in Southern California. Selected for its exceptionally large fruit, excellent flavor, and heavy production, it has become a favorite among home orchard growers.
The fruit is large, golden-orange, and easy to peel. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and rich with a pleasant balance of sweetness and acidity. Big Jim is often considered one of the best fresh-eating loquats available.
The tree is vigorous, evergreen, and highly productive. Fragrant white flowers appear during the cooler months, followed by clusters of large fruit in spring.
