Taiwan Jumbo Jujube — CH Nursery Selection

Taiwan Jumbo Jujube is a specially selected Taiwan-type tropical jujube offered by CH Fruit Tree Nursery. It produces impressively large, round fruit with smooth green skin, crisp flesh, and a refreshing sweet flavor.

The fruit can grow remarkably large under favorable conditions. Our photograph shows an actual harvested fruit beside a regulation-size baseball to provide a clear and realistic size comparison.

Grafted Trees

Our Taiwan Jumbo Jujube trees are propagated by grafting onto vigorous jujube rootstock. Grafting preserves the characteristics of the selected mother tree and provides a stronger foundation than an ordinary seedling sold without a confirmed fruiting selection.

Grafted tree. The plant being sold is a grafted Taiwan Round-Leaf Green Jujube. It is not being offered as a cutting or an air layer.

Growing Information

Taiwan Jumbo Jujube grows best in full sun, warm temperatures, and well-drained soil. Regular watering during active growth helps establish the tree, but the root zone should not remain constantly waterlogged. Protect young trees from frost and prolonged cold weather.
